Day 2 April 24

Today we woke up early to go to Church when we entered we found out that the thing that they call a church was not the Church we know. We went inside and the church looked more like a concert from a popband. The church was filled with so many people it was completely full. There were Black and white people. Everyone could follow the session by big screens with live video of the Priest. But before that all began. There was a band that played songs about religion. It was good music a lot of people were singing and dancing. After all of that we met (read we were dragged to meet) the priest he was a very nice man who came out of Greece and thanked us for what we did in South Africa. We drank a cup of cappuccino in the the bar of the restaurant of the Church and we had a tour through the children's church. Peter and dafne went to visit their grandchildren and we went to the beach. We walked passed the boulevard where people had market place. The weather was amazing we had a clear blue sky and sun it was about 27 degrees. We went to have a drink at the blue waters cafe. The same cafe we had dinner last night. After that we ate our lunch at the beach. And we went into the little shopping mall. After all of that we walked back over the beach with our feet in the sea. It was lovely. Back at the car we had to do some groceries and we went to spar to get our dinner. We all decided on pancakes. Back home Roeli and I made the pancakes. After a bit of trying it worked. And everyone said that they were delicious.( they might lie though). It is the last night for the two other girls from Belgium. So I am going back to them right now tomorrow we are going past all of the houses by the project and we are starting our first official day of work.

Britt wat heerlijk 27 graden, hier extreem koud, hagel, sneeuw en regen brrrr. Zo'n kerkdienst lijkt me geweldig om mee te maken. Succes morgen met je eerste werkdag. Groetjes -

Zo Britt dat is lekker weer daar. Wij houden hier onze winterjas nog maar aan. En het was vast heel bijzonder om zo kerkdienst mee te maken. En wat een mooi strand. heel veel succes morgen met je eerste werk dag. En ik weet nu dat je ook pannenkoeken kan bakken dat is misschien ook een ideetje voor thuis. lekker genieten heel veel liefs en een dikke kus mama
